In order to further strengthen laboratory safety management, strengthen the laboratory safety awareness of teachers and students, and prevent and reduce accidents, at 2:30 pm on November 29, 2019, the School of Electronic Information held a laboratory safety education and training meeting in Building 4, 311.

The training was hosted by Mr. Xue Li, and Mr. Zhu Yongsheng, Fu Bangsheng, and Geng Shiyong were the main speakers. All graduate students of the School of Electronic Information and undergraduates who entered the open laboratory participated in the training.

This training was launched from three aspects: the importance of laboratory safety, school laboratory safety related rules and regulations, university safety accident case analysis and laboratory fire safety training.

Teacher Yongsheng Zhu from the School of Electronic Information first emphasized the importance of laboratory safety.

It is pointed out that the laboratory is an important base for the school to carry out teaching and scientific research activities, and its safety issues directly affect the personal and property safety of teachers and students. Therefore, it is highly valued by the school and college leaders. For this reason, a number of relevant laboratory safety regulations have been issued

Mr. Geng Shiyong, deputy director of the Electronic and Electrical Information Basic Experiment Center, explained to the students in detail the "Laboratory Safety Management Regulations of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology", "Laboratory Safety Education and Access Measures of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology", and "Laboratory Student Code of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology"

It is emphasized that all students must use electricity safely in the laboratory, adopt standardized operations and use all kinds of equipment, keep the laboratory clean and hygienic, and pay attention to fire and explosion protection.

Fu Bangsheng, deputy director of the Electrical Information Professional Experimental Center, conducted laboratory fire safety training for teachers and students present.

First, the "School Fire Warning Film" was played. In the film, fires in Shandong Normal University, Shanghai Business School, Moscow People’s Friendship University, and Central Academy of Fine Arts were taken as examples to analyze the causes of such accidents and learn from laboratory safety

Hidden hazards, fire fighting knowledge should be informed, basic fire fighting knowledge and skills, fire escape strategies, and feasible prevention strategies and response methods to avoid the above accidents were proposed.

Finally, Mr. Xue Li, director of the Electronic and Electrical Information Basic Experiment Center, once again asked all students to enhance their laboratory safety awareness, standardize operations, and ensure safety.

Through this safety education and training meeting, students fully realized the importance of preventing laboratory safety accidents, understood that they should earnestly abide by laboratory safety related rules and regulations, learn from safety accidents, and prevent them in daily study and life.

In the occurrence of such accidents, jointly create and maintain a safe teaching and experimental environment.
