Research Overview

The school currently has six provincial research experiment platforms (1. Distributed Energy Access and Microgrid System; 2.Energy Internet Optimal Operation and Scheduling; 3. Car-Road Cooperative Control; 4. Image Analysis and Machine Vision Henan Engineering Laboratory; 5. Advanced Control and New Energy Technology Henan International Joint Laboratory; 6. Computational Intelligence Research and Application Henan International Joint Laboratory). The school also cooperates with Siemens Co., Ltd. to have established a joint training center on advanced automation technologies for the staff and students.

The school has made outstanding progress in scientific research. It has been undertaking multiple National Natural Science Foundation, Youth Funds, and other national and provincial-level projects, such as "Research on Intelligent Detection and Recognition Method of Fabric Defects Based on Image Understanding", "Research and Application of Multi-objective Evolutionary Computing Based on Decision Space". It has also won five Henan Science and Technology Progress Awards in the past two years, including two second-place prizes and three third-place prizes. The teachers and students of the school have published more than 500 high-level research papers these years and have been authorized more than 100 national invention patents.
